Founded in 1958, the mission of the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Program -- or HOBY -- is to inspire and develop our global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation.  HOBY programs are conducted annually throughout the United States and internationally, including right here in north Texas, to serve high school students and the communities in which they live.

HOBY Youth Leadership seminars provide youth selected by their schools to participate with unique leadership training, service-learning and motivation-building experiences.  HOBY also provides those who volunteer and contribute with the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of youth leaders.

At the local level, we are 100% funded and staffed by volunteers who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of youth leaders.  To date, we have made a difference in more than 400,000 alumni across the country and tens of thousands right here in north Texas.  Their impact is felt in the leadership that they provide in their schools and communities and in the service hours that they contribute to worthy local causes.
